Monday, February 6th, 9:30 – 10:30 AM: Ithaca Pregnancy Center: A women’s bible study will be held at IPC on Monday mornings, 9:30 – 10:30 AM for any interested woman, starting February 6th. Gospel of John. Prayer is critical if we would see ‘fruit that remains’ in anything we do! Opportunites:
Salvation Army: The Salvation Army has an on-going need for volunteers to help serve meals. They serve meals on Saturday and Sunday. (Open to men, women & young adults.) This month, they have specifically requested our help during the last weekend in February: the 25th and 26th. The service hours are from 10:30AM - 2:30PM on Saturday, and from 1:30PM to 4:30PM on Sunday. Some folks have already signed up to serve but there is room for more! Please contact Natalie Sawyer for details. A sign-up sheet for those who may not have easy access to email is available at the info table . Child Evangelism Fellowship (CEF): A great door of opportunity has opened up in the Ithaca area! CEF has been granted permission to initiate afterschool ‘Good News Clubs’ for children in grades 1 – 3 in Ithaca area elementary schools. CCI is one of several local churches that anticipate hosting a club – we are tentatively slated for Northeast Elementary School. Each team must have four members: Teacher, Craft Leader, Admin/Registration, and Aide. This year’s Spring commitment is 6 – 7 weeks, once per week. The Club starts at 3 PM and lasts approximately 1.5 hours. The average club is 20 students. Team Training is scheduled for Saturday, February 25th at Tabernacle Baptist. (Times to be confirmed.) See Pastor Scott as soon as possible if you are interested in being a member of the Team.
